Not sure if it's meant to be this way or not, but the mission will end if a single templar hits the extraction zone. The player is not required to get the whole squad in the extraction area to complete the mission.

There are a couple of missions like that where you expect the requirement to be full team but only one is enough to trigger. I'll have to go for a hunt to see if I can find the particular mission.
