The S&P Trade will be a big part of the Smuggler. People have spent a lot of time and energy over the past 3 years talking about ST Smugglers. The AoP implementation will be totally different than the ST Smuggler-as-Merchant-to-indies. I suspect S&P and Gold running will be heavily featured in the Smuggler story

Hm. Is S&P to powerful? My lvl 4 smuggler has 400+ Cadari Rep already.

Will the smugglers best friend, the cache, be implimented? Buried Treasure! Of course! And as your silvers are not protected against raiders and pirates, suddenly burying money might even appeal.

I loved Tradewinds. I also loved Uncharted Waters for SNES. I still have my SNES and play Uncharted Waters every once in a while. Great game

At any point is what you do with your experience that you gain explained? I know what to do with it from previous TB games, but just wondering if during the Nathaniel quest line if you are told what to do. Yes I'm being a touch lazy as I've not got to far down the path yet.

For this specific game mode, I raise my Haggling(first of all) to 16 and then Sailing and Navigating skill to 9; after, I alternate +1 in DEX and CHA (raising then their relative skills); my strategy is to earn more money i can with trading (haggling high) first (yeah, I'm a merchant no?), and to navigate the seas in the most safe way(few sailing accidents and few encounters, with Sailing and Navigating)

moody - great suggestion for an add to the instructional text. I have added ticket #AOP-1771 to add some dialog into the story that includes XP advice. Slide87 is dealing some good thoughts!

Slide87 - glad you've got a plan on how to get there. The pirate half of the story is still in the works, but no, he won't gift you 50K. He has another plan altogether

Since this seems to be a hot thread i thought i would throw out a suggestion/question
Why can't you plot a course to a port that is not in your sector? Or is that supposed to work and doesn't at the moment?
Thanks for the constant and quick responsesyou guys are great.

By now it's not implemented i think, mmm, and i have doubts it will be added (if you have played CK,the same thing happens, taxi excluding) it would be too easy travel by sea, i don't think it's good for this type of game (even if i called for it several times in my mind ghghghgh)

Thanks for the constant and quick responsesyou guys are great. d34thspawn - please use threads for on-subject posts, not just posting because they are getting a lot of attention. Cross posting doesn't help keep this very active forum in order Cory and I make a point to respond to basically every thread if it is needed, so don't feel like you won't get any attention by creating a new thread. In quick response to your question -- it is something we are working on, but there are other fish in the fry at the moment.

any word on the pirate with the 50,000 silver option? 50,000 is kinda rediculously high.
