By building Age of Pirates RPG inside of StoryTellerEngine we are able to take advantage of the engine's rich support for difficulty settings.
Where our previous trading games had very rigid difficulty settings and options, the second generation trading RPG includes a flexible and complete system.
Upcoming releases will include the option to set values such as:
- Combat Handicap - Enemy Captain Level - Game Turn Rate - Economic Handicap - Experience Rate - Political Hostility Level - Ship Damage Rates - Ration Consumption Levels
Because we re-wrote using StoryTellerEngine, we will also be able to mix those custom difficulty settings and the new Unlocks system together smoothly.

Oh and permadeath will, of course, be fully configurable
