Want to start the dialog now ...
I am planning on releasing more games for Android.
When they are released I will try to make them fun.
However, I will not stop improving Star Traders RPG.
ST RPG releases will continue for as long as player interest and downloads continue.
As with ST RPG, my new games will be released in a free edition first which will probably be full of bugs, crashes and balance issues.
And just like ST RPG, I will be there every step of the way listening, learning and trying to improve my games -- ST and CK both.
So, in closing -- if in the coming weeks you see a new release or two from Trese Brothers ... do NOT be alarmed that it means the end of the updates to Star Traders. The opposite in fact, as we open a new chapter in our journey.

Great news! Can you at least shed some light on what games that might be, a genre at least?

How about awards for having STRPG in the new game and vice versa. Maybe in ST, you would unlock a starting ship (same stats as the V.V., but painted with sweet racing stripes or bad-ass flames) and in the other game you could have a giant hat!

jerry -- The next game I hope to release is ... wait for it ... a turn based RPG with an open world and the option for sandbox play

Different than ST RPG in many many ways, of course.
For example it is not a trading game and there are no spaceships.

I for one would be very happy to alpha test your new game.
Would you expect that your focus for ST RPG updates will shift from new features, to bug fixing and finishing off part-built features?

I've always found that playing in sandboxes gets quite gritty, especially if you are eating sammies at the same time. Can't wait to hear more about the new game tho!

So are we talking about Secrets of Steel? Or other fantasy RPG. The competition on Android looks thin at the moment, so this could be a great time to leverage the experience of developing ST RPG. I would suspect that fantasy is a bigger market than science fiction. Your competition at the moment seems to consist of Spectral Souls and Demon Hunter. Take a close look at those (if you haven't already) and see how you can do as well, or better.
Best of luck with all your efforts, Trese Bros!!!

I just saw the new splashscreen for Secrets of Steel. I gather there will be nautical action going on? I would ask that pirate to share her booty with me but I think she would rather show me how sharp her sword is instead.

Ahh, just what I was hoping to hear - another RPG I'm a huge fan of that genre and I would buy blindly anything that comes from Trese Brothers! And all the fans out there - don't blast me for saying that I expect them to put less energy/time into ST RPG. Say what?! Put LESS energy?! Cory - in my opinion - you're doing a great job at hunting bugs and updating the game. But they are minor bugs, and the updates are mostly about polishing, hearing out the folks and putting in life their wishes/ideas. But that's never going to end, it's an endless work (and the money has been already paid/eaten). Well OK, some ideas and updates were a major one, changing even the whole game experience for some players (for example pure traders). But face it people - would you like dozens of updates of ST RPG, or instead just a couple updates and couple complete new games? I choose the latter. And I'm saying the above knowing, that Cory has a full time job, and it's not the programming. Although I wish it was

jerry -- trust me, you will consider "Player Bases" a game-changing update when it comes out. Andrew and I have 5 games we want to make. ST RPG was the first, and SS is the third. The second game is a sleeper built in secret using SS technology. We did not want to make EB but we needed to try casual games and fail to really focus on RPG.

player bases will also give people a way to spend 6,000,000 credits on upgrades and get something with 1,000 Cargo ... I recently updated the formating system to support attributes of 1000+ for all ... hehehe ... here we go!
