I know it's still early days, but I'm curious about the stats we see when purchasing ships. Is there anyway we could get a basic run-down of what each thing on the ship does. I think hull/cannons/long guns are relatively self-explanatory, but having more information on sails/masts would be nice. For instance, what helps maneuverability? Does having a higher amount of masts make the ship faster? Damage to the sails, what exactly does it do to our ships?
I'd be more than willing to write up a quick guide to the ship stats if the information were posted, that way the information could just be added into the in-game help file. Would help make the game a little more easy for newer (and older) players to get into.
