what's cracking with the kraken?

Killing any of the krakens, you get 30 to 50 ish silver from salvage. You get far more from galleons for much less difficulty.

You don't need fencing to kill them. I just killed one with chain shot.

You get multiple exploit entries for killing one.

They have no cargo, but you get rations, journals and maps.

Risk vs reward ratio?

Shouldn't you only get food (the animal its self) and gold (from its stomach)?

True, but thinking about my captain and crew, there would be several journals written for killing a Kraken.
