I press plot for a commission and press play button but ship doesn't go to destination

This only works if your Commission is in the same naval zone as you are sailing in, perhaps your Commission is to the zone next door?

then please mark it on the main/ world map so I know what zone it's in

Where are you seeing a Plot button for a Commission that isn't in the same region?

I wasn't. It was on the same region.
I messed up the bug. Plot Contract took me to the contract destination. The problem was that after it took me to the destination, the commission would say I'm weeks away when I was right there. It was a port delivery of cargo/ passenger contract

speaking of plot problems though, sometimes at the zoom map ( not the main map/ world map, the one in between) when I press on a location and it says press again to plot and I do, it does not plot. Also, sometimes pressing anywhere on the screen isn't enough. Sometimes I have to press the play button first and then press anywhere on the screen to stop movement.
