I'm in the Sea of Swords [4, 4]. I just took some Commissions to The Horn [5, 4] Problem is, I cannot sail there directly, not being a Hovercraft (  ) and will have to go via Copper Mountains [4,5] and Cape of Good Faith [5,5]. These Commissions will all come due before I get there. |

Perhaps the ability to go in one port and leave in another on the other side of the land for a fee can be added? Or maybe some type of ship ferry can be added that takes you to different seas throughout the map for a fee, depending on distance, time, rank, haggling etc.

I sailed there directly, and had a craft whose sailing characteristics were 'good', didn't try to sail directly into the wind, had only usual interest and interruptions due to pirates, etc. ---- and I could tell that I didn't have enough time to get there. And indeed, sometime when I was in the Cape of Good Faith, 2 of them expired ... |

my idea about the ferry still stands, but with contacts offering hundreds of days, you seriously didn't have enough time to get there?
