I am trying to figure out what upgrades are better than other ones, and as is usual with TB games, the answer is 'depends on what your stats are, and what you want to be doing'. Which is fine. But is it fair to assume that the Elite only upgrades are in some sense the 'cream of the crop'?
The double gun deck is very nice, that I know. :-)

The double gun deck is very nice, that I know. :-) Depends on what your stats are, and what you want to be doing. The +6 mast, +2 keel upgrade is elite only, and is the best for increasing mast. But if your concerned about increasing resistance vs damage or board, I'd go with stone wood keel (+4 hull, +4 keel). The +4 cannon upgrade is elite only, and probably is the best for broadside and gun during boarded, but if you want to improve your long gun, the +4 long gun or the +2 cannon +2 long gun upgrades are better. |
