Sure. Also, hmmm, it shouldn't be that bad -- but that phone is a bit older.
There has to be something I can do -- options and performance stuff.
Question: How is ST on that device?

Slow enough that I almost never play it, sigh. But faster than AoP. I miss my tablet already and I haven't even mailed it yet.

I'll ask Andrew if our test hardware budget includes a Nexus for you Meanwhile, you might check out www.swappa.com if you're looking for Androids.

I'm quite stunned that you would suggest this. If there is budget, great, and if not, well just the offer was amazing.

I remember orbital blockade and orbital surveillance was super slow in ST on my new phone and then I turned off all running apps and it was soooooo much faster. Task manager won't close running apps that are built-in. Go to settings, then application manager, then running apps, and force stop all processes and apps one by one until there are almost no apps listed in 'running apps'

For map performance, try turning off backgrounds.
I think the suggestions @starfixer makes are true of any CPU hungry Android app.

Those aren't Applications slowing things down -- it is Services.
Facebook can be an issue because it has a background Service that checks the site every 5 minutes.

In that case it's apps AND services.

It's certain giant corporate apps and their evil services. Best part about Alpha ending? Removing the Google Plus app! The NSA could easily track my relationship status by whether I'm suffering through Facebook Messenger and Gmail apps or not.
I'm still very appreciative of the low profile of TB games in this respect, even if I wish you'd violate my SD card for various reasons.
