So I'm in a particular mission where I've split the squad Captain + Neptune, and 2 Scouts. However, the order of the squad shows Captain Scout Neptune Scout.
I thought to myself wouldn't it be cool if I could drag the Neptune into space 2 (automatically swapping Scout 1 with Neptune). Then when I work the mission, I naturally work the two list as I play the teams.

I would like this as well, or at least a way to assign "drop slots" to each trooper. I'm not sure if it's entirely possible and it's not really too big of a deal, but it can be a problem when your squad is dispatched on one of those "split" missions.

Yes this would be very helpful.

I like this idea as well. It would have to be an option only in the beginning of the level though to prevent players from abusing such a feature

I like the idea of this too.
The only possible exceptions I'd have would be missions like 'Divided We Fall' to possibly represent the chaos of poor transport or falling through floors.

I don't know if having the functionality throughout a mission would cause a particular advantage of any numerical/statistical nature. It would just mean convenience to the player allowing him/her to better manage the team. Yes, it makes things a little more convenient, but it doesn't cause any unbalancing issues.

But if you could have warriors swap places at any time throughout the mission, it may make the game easier than it should, and allow players to take advantage of such a feature. For example, I could have a beserker stay in the corner of the map, and whenever a fellow templar is in trouble just swap him with the berserker and he'll be out of danger. I do support the ability to change character positions in the beginning of a level though.

No, I don't mean you can swap the actual position of the characters on the map, I just mean swapping the position of the character selector on the left-side of the GUI No, I don't want to be able to make players physically switch places on the map (although I do agree, being able to select which character goes where on the starting positions would be cool (but has already been ruled out).
