I'd like to see a fast travel option similar to CK's taxi service, it could work the exact same way. For example, every ship has a warp drive (or possibly an upgrade option) that can be used to get to far away contracts and after its used it will need to cooldown just like the taxis. Other wishes: The option to delete rumours you know of (I'll be honest in saying I don't fully understand how rumours work in the games even after reading the manuals but I know when I do check my rumours its usually just the useless ones which I'd like to clear, like voiding contracts) An alternative way to unlock ship upgrades rather than the difficult award system. (Credits?) I often don't have the time or skill to unlock these unfortunately.

We are going to be adding some alternate ways to unlock things in the future.
Thanks for the post we always appreciate and use the feedback that comes in.

Nail, There have been posts regarding faster transit between points and warp drive has been mentioned 2Words. 1) WARP 2) DRIVE!!! nuff said. I also thought about Worm Holes OOo ... Worm hole locations will provide a fertile hunting ground for those chasing Alien bounty! I like the radiation aspect but it should affect crew not systems - the crew have a 1% chance of spontaneously mutating into aliens Also ... the destination of the worm hole is not exactly a co-ordinate ... it's more of a "you'll arrive somewhere in this vicinity". Me ... I'd like to have an upgrade "Long Range Sensors". They provide you details of the ships in the co-ordinates one AU from your ship. You can then see if it is likely you will have an encounter with an enemy ship if you move from (1,5) to (1,6). Of course, given it is only a 1AU range sensor, you can't see ships moving into range (eg, from (1,7) to (1,6)) at the same time as you do. This means there is still a chance of encounter, but it can be less/more than current chance based on your decisions.

I'm very late to the party haha We're just happy you made it. The game, the map, the difficulty system is all lovingly tuned for a world without wormholes. Now, I promise, ST 2 will have a lot of wormholes and warp drives. So just hang tight

Nah it's actually good because threads written 2 years ago are well and truly buried, yet ideas such as warping are still relevant now as they were then. It's a REAL hassle flying from one corner of the map to the other when you could either pay for access to an unstable worm hole or use a warp drive that requires some recharge time and/or large amounts of fuel.
