There are a lot of yellow dwarfs in this quadrant. I wouldn't mind seeing a few of them go white, or blue, or red...
While I realize there's probably a size capacity due to the grid, I wonder if a re-sizing of the current stars to allow for more luminescent variety is possible.

Hmm. How would luminosity affect the game? If you mean some stars effecting travel around them, such as increasing the chances of negative events aboard ship- I can dig that. Some stars do indeed put out a TON more X rays than our own sun, for instance.

The Quadrant is a very unique place -- the Star Trader leadership, and even the Templars, gazed in wonder at the cluster of temperate planets and mild mannered solar bodies.
After passing tens of thousands of star clusters, the Quadrant stood out in stark contrast to galaxy around it.
It was that feeling of discovery, some would even whisper 'destiny' that originally began the chain of events that led to the current state of affairs.

Some more star graphics isn't a bad suggestion for variety, especially on larger screens where you can see 10-15 stars at a time.
I'll look into it.

As much complexity as changing star impact on game mechanics would add, I don't think it would be something noticeable by most players. My point was really one of aesthetics. I play on a tablet, as Corey pointed out, and see many yellow stars when travelling through deep space. It would just be a cool change to have some different star types to gaze at as I travel the dark beyond.
