I haven't played ST for a long time and I saw a lot of new ship's upgrade available but I love my old ship and don't want to start a new character just to try the upgrades.
You had made possible to remove upgrades in AoP, wouldn't it be possible in ST ?

Hi Beuns,
Unfortunately due to the game engine in ST, there is no way to be able to remove upgrades. The backstory goes that all of the upgrades get installed into the ship's infrastructure, and pulling them out again would result in significant structural weakness. Yes, theoretically it could be done, but but it would cost a lot more to pull it out than put it in, and there is a distinct possibility that the patch used to cover the now vacant portion of the ship could blow out at any time.
