Very nice! One thing about the seventh faction that I want to point out though is that recently the rumour about them leaving to look for the original destinatiom was changed to a templar fleet leaving to look for it.
Government and Politics: - Every planet, faction or indy, has a prince that inhabits the palace and is in charge of everything, such as the exchange (ST gameplay). Princes are a heredatery position (the name PRINCE means such) - Senators are either elected or appointed. While elected senators care more about the local politics of planets, appointed senators care mainly about quadrent politics and don't concern themselves with local affairs (ST rumors). Senators travel in secrecy and with high security, mainly via templars, as the loss of a senator could be devastating for a faction (ST rumors). - Corperations have immense, unmatched power in politics and the quadrent. Giant subsidies are given to corperations despite factions not being able to afford it due to dwindling resources, a declining economy and war costs (ST rumor). Corperations have such an influence in politics that they don't even need to lobby the government anymore (ST rumor). Whether politicans just know to due whatever corperations would want them to do without interaction with them or whether corperations are the government themselves is unknown. - Democracy has a small presence. Even the imperial senate elections for elected senators are bought (ST rumor). Princes are heredetery position and other representatives are appointed (the name PRINCE and ST rumor) - No matter what your charecter does, factions will always see you as no more than a Star Trader (Cory Trese post)
The Quadrent: - Vicious assasination attempts on princes, civil infighting and fatal "accidents" on the starock and exchange are commonplace in the quadrent (ST rumors) - Treatment of the citizens somewhat depend of the planet. On some planets oppression may be clearly visible, but on other planets the prince may claim to protect its people and there may be underground or isolated bunkers on feral planets that protect citizens against the wilderness (ST plantetary descriptions).
Legal System: - Shaulan law is a code of laws and rules that all Star Traders must follow (I don't know how I know that, I just do). Shaulan law bans things such as stealing credits, killing passengers that are not crew of a ship and having a machine that communicates with another machine (free from the hand of man) (Cory Trese and STSH).
Economy: - The Central Banking System regulates the trade of credits by star traders for items, permits, warrents, ranks and other things. (ST help) It is illigal to borrow credits as a Star Trader and it is illegal to steal and extort credits from other star traders (Cory Trese). Some of the bounty targets you recieve are those that have gone against the central banking system (Cory Trese).

This is great background. It makes things in the game much more understandable.

If I am reading between the lines correctly, then Shalun/Templars had actually utilized Narvidian shipyards during The Founding to construct a portion of the new Union fleet. Is it possible that some of those new Hives/Worldships had, unbeknownst to Templars, some sort of Narvidian "backdoor" (either physical or electronic) that would have been included by virtue of the setup or design of the Narvidian shipyards?
