This is more for the board. But if its possible can the older version threads be locked so the newest version for st updates is active only.
Gets confusing with multiple threads of versiond getting new messages in each.

Crimson - you'd like us to lock all previous update threads? There are conversations going on in those threads, often about something random or something update specific ...

Maybe a chat/ sounding board area may be appropriate. I also realize my bug report should have been in the bugs folder.

Are you talking about the threads getting out of order on the board because someone posts a comment on an older update? I wouldn't want to see them locked in terms of not being able to comment on a thread, but if there was a way to lock the order on the board I can see that as being helpful.

For me it was a little hard to follow. But its as you say. And not wanting change the open atmosphere. It is tefreshingly nice. Thanks, Crimson

Crimson - we can look at this, but it might just be too much administrative work for us to get right all the time on all the boards. I made 5.1.17 and 5.1.15 "sticky" so they stay at the top of the updates board, regardless of other threads. And if you post in 5.1.15, then 5.1.17 still stays ahead of it. We will have to try it on the next release to see if this works ... I had to sticky, unsticky, and bump a few times to get it into the right order. contributor / Crimson - Can you check the board (http://startradersrpg.proboards.com/board/18/updates-st) and see if that would help you significantly?

I think that works perfectly. Keeps the latest 1response or 2 updates at the top. The last one would be fine also. Thanks, Crimson

Crimson - sorry, it is another click on a very long list of clicks that you have to do in order to get a new release out the door. I just fixed the ST Update thread again. In this case, Cory was on vacation when this thread about stickying them in the right order occurred, and I forgot to tell him about it altogether. We will see if we can keep it up!

I'm sorry, it isn't worth doing the stickies. I think we should just encourage people to stop posting off topic in releases. We do many hundreds of releases a year and that takes all the time

slayernz, would be so kind as to unsticky the threads that were stickied since we're not going with this idea anymore. It's made things even more confusing than before. Much Thanks.
