Just a small thing to revive, maybe someone would like my Stat builds too
Pacifist merchant:
Pure merchant. Nothing special.
Negotiate: 20 (more than that is just dead weight)
Stealth: At least 120% of your level
Optional 10 pilot and intimidate to cut fuel consumption later on
Pros:
Solid build that can escape any ship
No bother by aliens
Cons:
Cannot destroy ships
Not too much fun playing with this build, but it is useful for the rank achievements
Pacifist merchant/explorer:
Merchant enriched for the exploration thing. I would recommend smuggler though, since he has trade records ability on restricted cargo (Exploring) and also 150% protection of caches.
Negotiate: 20
Tactics: 30 (for Spy and Solar wars, otherwise unnecessary)
Explorer: 20-30 (unnecessary to have too much)
Intimidate: 15 (to be able to control 40 crew efficiently in wilds, but for bigger crews bigger intimidate)
Stealth: 120% of your level
Pros:
Merchandise, exploring or wars participations, you will still be in profit
Levels up fast
Escapes anything
Cons:
Cannot destroy ships
Pacifist explorer:
A build for an Explorer class, a guy that relies only on his nose and his men...
Negotiate: 2
Tactics: 30 (for Spy and Solar wars)
Intimidate: The more the merrier to contain huge crews efficiently
Stealth: 120% of your level
Pros:
Huge charisma allows huge income from blockading
Huge intimidate means huge crew with fairly low casualties and huge profits
Cons: the same as previous builds
Cadar bastard pirate:
Torping pirate, otherwise known as Cadar bastard or Torpedo freak
Pilot: 10-20 (depending on difficulty, only to cut down fuel consumption a bit)
Tactics equal to stealth
Pros:
Looting ships is fun
Cadar origin
Lower level ships don't stand a chance
Can take on even higher level captains
Can always escape, unless someone manages to close range and then miraculously win the second close range roll
Levels up quickly
Can function in battle even with a bit lower crew
Cons:
You can get to stalemate with some high level ships
Low alien encounters, although if you want to, you can add a Null field generator and seek for aliens
Battles work on a First hit mechanism
Torpedo battlecruiser
A pilot that doesn't care about honor or loot. He just crushes anyone and can even take on aliens. While still keeping the Pros of Cadar bastard pirate, the difference between them is that he is less cautious. He sacrifices Stealth for Tactics, allowing him to hit higher level ships better, but having somewhat smaller chances to survive when in battle. He should still win almost all (maybe totally all) ignore attempts though, since his stealth is still high.
Pilot: Only to preserve water-fuel, but completely unnecessary
Tactics: as much as possible
Stealth: till 40 equal to tactics, from there keep it between 80 and 120% of Captain level
Pros:
Can take on almost anyone
Pretty suitable for fighting aliens, but I wouldn't attack enemies of 350% of your level, I would prefer escaping instead
Low stalemate chances
Cons:
If you meet a high stealth boarder or gun bunny, you are probably toast, which isn't the case of the previous build, which can still win the retreat rolls more efficiently because of having that huge of a stealth
