I doubt it's a bug, per-se, but: Why would the regular arms/armor dealers have stuff that is SO costly, even on Black Row? Even with the BEST possible economy, paying for the 16k sniper rifle, or the more costly armors is virtually impossible unless you just stay there through about 150xp (total), considering the payoffs are so small (being only gang opponents).
Also: Might be nice for one of the two arms/armor dealers to have a low-end version of shock-glove. A couple of times now I get the 'capture' missions before I can afford the one in Black Row (and once or twice even got the mission-type before I got to GET to Black Row). And being stuck with slow-firing/poor-accuracy stun-pistol or maybe-hurt/maybe-stun gloves is a PITA when you're trying to capture the guy and you end up killing him. Losing ammo, taking damage, and not even getting paid.

Alex Fury - great feedback. I have tweaked the prices in Black Row so that they are down a bit for all weapons and cyberware. Also, the job prices got a bit of a infusion to help you meet the new prices in the middle.

Im more interested in knowing why shotshells cost so much more than either 'pistol' or intermediate 'auto' rounds- to the point you could buy a pistol for ten shells.
That highbrass better be some FRAG-12 grenade rounds, Jack.

dayan - those rounds can generally punch through a corporate enemy in a single shot, so they can be worth it. Especially if you know the right people and can buy them for cheap!

I gather that now that I've stumbled into enough cred to do the back room scene. Don't know the matrix a lick- but I never could even from my Shadowrun days. Now shotguns I know- even have one tucked into my closet for taking out the trash. With the right ammo a simple shotgun can reach out over 100 meters and crack an engine block. Fun game but 90% of violent encounters end up with my laying in the gutter at the end of it.

IMO you should run away from them until you can face enemies with enough firepower and skills. At first focus on AP (raise up dex+int+per as they are the base for the AP formula which goes (dex+int+per)/2 +3 ) and athletics/stealth to allow you to escape from fights. You may want to consider hiring a runner or two (I suggest a cybersword if your character is fighting at long range and a gunslinger if you're into hand-to-hand and a hacker to help you with electronic and Mind related throws). Hang on chummer ! Don't let some punks think they can pick a Knight a get away easily. Lick your wounds, get stronger and show them who really rule out there

dayan - what territories are you frequenting? Unless you are ready for something else, stay in the gang land.

I try to stay in gangland but they give me jobs where I have to go through the core and none of the cabs feel like going anywhere at the time. its not a huge deal, just annoying. That and i've never been able to escape

dayan - I understand. We are working toward a job-system redesign that will avoid this problem. What is your Stealth? You've got to raise your AP high enough that you can get some distance between you and your enemies.

I don't have it memorized. Not high enough apparently.
