Kindle Fire HD second gen Side Loaded and Running (Tips)

My main testing platform is the 2nd Generation Kindle Fire HD 8.9 unless otherwise noted.
I will also test on Kindle Fire first generation if time permits.  Keep in mind some features may not work the same way on both Kindles.

Side loading and installing the APK: To side load to your PC then to Kindle You will need a USB to MINI USB cable to transfer the file to your Kindle.

To side load without your PC.

1. Bring up the Web browser on Kindle

2. Type in the http address we were provided with.

3. Click download on the Kindle, You will be notified when file is downloaded

4. On the Kindle bring up the ES file explorer app.

5. Tap the downloads folder, next tap the Heroes of Steel apk file you downloaded

6. Follow the install prompts.

7. Return to Home Screen, Tap Apps on the tool bar at top of the screen, Tap Heroes of Steel, and the game will start running.
From then on it will remain on your carousel. As I write this the Create Character screen is up and running YAH HOO!

Ouch! My head hurts. I thought I was creating a new thread. There are 5 threads in the first in the forum. I see mine as a post not a thread. What did I do wrong?

@johnrobison - you created a new thread. It's just as normal on the forum. You're doing it right. ProBoards is very loose with the two terms.
