Actually, menu reset HAS become an exploit of sorts. I've been experimenting with different moves/spells, etc, and it's useful pressing the menu button if I find I have done a few mistakes during a turn. Voila, turns all reset and I can try my combinations again For menu press, please add a back button while you are working on all the other juicy goodness. a back button would allow us with fat fingers to get back to what we were doing in an inadvertent press. Even in non-combat situations, pressing the menu button is BAD with a capital X because all of the map areas you've previously explored (and the phone hasn't reclaimed) disappear.

slayernz - the fog issue is fixed as of late last night. If that is fixed, is there a reason to have this new back button? I don't know where it would go. Help!? I'm lost in the dark and there are vermin everywhere!

The Back button would be sequenced between the main game screen and the actual menu (New Game, Continue, Your heroes).
<Main Screen> Press "Menu" Prompt "Do you want to leave your current game?" <yes><back> If "Yes", then go to the main menu screen If "back", then return to party screen without any consequence - no turn loss, no other effects.
<Edit> Just realised that this approach is implemented in ST. When you press back too many times, it will take you back to the main menu, but will prompt you whether you actually want to do this or not. The map persistence is not an issue, nor is actual turn loss and the like.

slayernz - it just sounds like you want a confirmation if you happen to hit menu?

Yeah, if you want to sum it up more simply than I did ... sure, a confirmation would be great <grin>

Still, IMO, have the hardwired menu button giving you access to some kind of options would be useful (toggle sounds, go directly to equipment sheet, have access to some sort of journal, etc...) Obviously it's not really a big problem as it is now but it would help.

beuns, I was suggesting the confirmation toast as an interim step - longer term, I absolutely would love to have menu = in-game tools rather than menu = main menu.

Yeah, if you want to sum it up more simply than I did ... sure, a confirmation would be great <grin> Simple summaries help, otherwise you may find your request takes a wild turn once our engineering team gets a hand on it Menu button = summon 5 random monsters, posses the shifty eyed one.

I too am consistantly hitting menu on the Game Map Screen mistaking it for back. How about this?
Truncate (MENU) to (M). Replacing it with a "gear" box, or horizontal lines box, might be another option, but why get complex?
I like the Gold Icon idea, but maybe green with a whilte "M would be less distracting to the eye.
