I'm so used to being able to press these buttons with my phone. Can you tie the game menu/back buttons to the phone menu/back buttons if they are available. I'm aware that ipad/phone doesn't have either button.

Also, "Menu" shouldn't take you back to the main starting screen. It should present you with in-game options eg Map, Items, Skills, Equip, Main Menu

Thanks! We are currently operating on the lowest common denominator for hardware buttons (i.e. iOS).
As we add special hardware handling for the OUYA, we will add hardware button (back, menu, slide-out keyboard) for the Android.
On the roadmap for a future!

evmaker - 50% of the playing and video recording I do, I do on my PC. The game runs great on Windows and Mac. But, we are keeping the focus squarely on the KickStarter promises we made with the $20,000 stretch goal (iOS, Android, OUYA) at the moment. We will definitely do PC distribution in the future!

I'll admit I'd like to have the back button on the phone tied to the game's back button.
But the really important thing is to make that menu button in the game less easily pressed. I've had a ton of cases where I've accidentally pressed it and then gone out of the game. Since going back in involves the continue button it then resets me to the beginning of the turn I was on, losing any progress I'd made that turn. I don't seem to be getting any less likely to press it over time either, so I don't think I'll "learn" my way out of it.
Obviously we need a menu button, and moving it probably can't be easily done since it would involve a screen-space shuffle. Could you instead consider putting a confirmation menu on that menu button to make sure a player really does want to lose their turn and have to restart by going to the menu?

absimiliard - we will definitely get to binding the hardware buttons, just not high on priority atm. Would shrinking the size of the menu button help do you think?

It might help, shrinking it that is. I'm not quite certain what makes it so damn tempting to push. Let me fool around with it a bit more if adding a confirmation would be too much trouble.
(I suspect it's a flaw in my brain, "Must push ALL THE BUTTONS", or something like that. You know, there it is, it's shiny and blue, how can I not push it? I'm not sure it's because it's near other buttons.)

Having a large screen phone and small hands I acutally prefer apps that do not use the Menu and back buttons.. its too easy for me to palm touch one or both while holding the device in landscape.. But that's just me. I'm enjoying not having them wired up Sent from my SM-N900T using proboards

The question is ... do you get to keep the XP you gained from killing them? ... maybe we could exploit the inadvertent resetting of beasties with additional XP gain

If the turn is reset, no changes are committed. No exploits there, tested to the nines.
I think making menu smaller and less bright (switch to gilded gold?) will make it a less attracting target.

We fixed that issue in a foundational and absolutely ace fashion. The technical improvements here are ... well, you see.

Changing the color to one that doesn't stand out so much and maybe shrinking the button by about 30% would, in my opinion, go a long way to minimizing accidental button presses.
