Feel free to completely ignore EVERYTHING I type here. This is just a morass of thoughts and ideas that might or might not be worth the time.
1. Make Cyberknights look like Heroes of Steel. I find CK colors less vibrant and stale than HoSteel colors. In comparison, HoSteel colors R O C K.
2. Remove the entire "close up" combat window when you're fighting an enemy. Integrate the buttons of that window to the "combat map". I mean, I like the close up of the enemies and the flashy little bursts, but I think this feature remarkably slows down the game. This is, of course, something to TEST. Not sure if it will improve the game or not. I guess this comes under make CyberKnights more like Heroes of Steel.
3. Rework the map. Make 'The Wall' really BE a wall instead of having so many different ways to step around it. Access THROUGH the wall has to be 'earned' via faction specific reputation gains. As it is, The Wall is just an annoyance that doesn't really add to the game itself.
4.Toxic areas: Add/alter areas to be fully and completely toxic. (Loss of life per square). Add an item or piece of equipment that allows you to go into them. Put something valuable in the area to make it worth going there. (unique items, unique store, unique fixer, unique quests etc). Make inquiring the armor/item that helps you survive the toxic area, be faction specific or even a hard to find random quest on a particular Fixer. This adds layers to the game.
5.To add Mystery and Thrill to the game, integrate profiles into the factions. I love Blackgauntlet's religious interpretation of Blue Ox. Thus, as an example, their quests could be worded more religiously. Just a thought.
6. A little more logic on the conflicts to match the relationship of the factions. Instead of merely random events coming up between random factions, make it more Corps versus Gangs versus competitor. Example: If say AzTek Global and Mars Inc, decide to come to blows, they are mega corporations. They won't go to war with each other. They will, however, try to undermine each other via subterfuge, small hit teams, surgical data center strykes .... in short corporate espionage. Also, I am extremely keen to the idea that Mercenary Corporations have "principal backers". AzTek Global and Knight Horizon. Mars Inc and Bravestar. Yakashima and Yakuza. With that logic, there should not BE open war between principal backers and their chosen Mercenary Corp. Might have disagreements, but not bloody wars.
7. Add Fidgeting to the CK 'stick guy/girl' moving on the map. I really like that feature in HoSteel.
That's it for the moment. Rock on!
