Hi all
I've bought the elite map (in-app purchase) and had to delete the game. I'm now trying to reinstall it and i can't install the elite map (paid version) without pay for it again. I already tried the apple support (said it is a developer problem), tried the trese brothers mail (no response), and tried private message in their Facebook (again no response). Anyone knows how i should restore the in-app purchase??

Doesn't make sense to me, but well... Cory and Andrew, the Trese Bros., are on this site nearly 24/7. They just announced a few hours ago that they're taking the next 2 days off, which they deserve since I know they've been busy as hell for months. But fear not, they'll be back either Sunday or Monday, since they're currently developing a new game. Unfortunately, I know very little about the iOS version, or the platform in general. Are you sure there is no option in-game to restore any IAPs? Or under some menu outside the game?

didn't knew that, of course they deserve some time off like the rest of us. i myself i'm a part time developer and i know how much work one game takes. and to be honest, i thought this would be an app store problem, so i contact apple first. i spent about 4 days until i found my receipt and then they informed me that has to be the developer giving any kind of solution because it is an in-app purchase. after trying the mail and facebook of the TB, thought anyone here may have experienced this problems already and may knew how to fix this.
right to the point, i download the free version and have a button to buy elite version. no restore purchase option that i can see. if i click to buy, asks my password to proceed to buy. normally in ios games i have 2 options, buy and restore. but this is not the case here, i believe.
i know that in settlers of catan i have to click buy like a new purchase and it installs without in fact paying for it, but i'd like to confirm it. don't want to have to buy the game twice...

Oh. The Elite version is a separate app. At least it is on Google Play. iOS I have no idea. Try checking the app store for it.
Also, I have Settlers of Catan on the Play store. Really good game. Did you know there is a free to play version on the computer as well? I've never played the board game before though.

You should be able to download the Elite app again on IOS. You will find it in your apps list App Store --> Purchased. You can then select "Not on this iDevice" where Device = "Pad/Pod/Phone/Coffee Machine". I've had to redownload apps before in IOS (Not ST though), and I was able to do so here. For in-app purchases, at least with some of the other games, I see the option of buying the IAP within the app. When I click on the link, it normally says "you've already purchased this, so it will install/download/do magic stuff for you without needing to pay for it again". Good luck

Good luck My wife's friend gave her their "old" iPhone 4 because they got a 5. I tried playing around on it, and it seriously annoyed the crap out of me. Nothing felt intuitive, I found the menus kind of clunky and at times just not very logical. The one thing that really bugs me is the single button on the front. I don't even know why it does. On the plus side, the software runs incredibly smoothly.

there is now a separate paid version, but when i bought there was only the in-app purchase. as you told slayernz, normally it happens one of two things: or it have a restore purchases button, which i was unable to find, or when i click the in-app purchase it says that it is already bought. in my case it asks the password to buy it. and because it is an in-app purchase it doesn't appear in the not in this device section. what appears is the free version that i may download and where i have the option to pay for the elite map version. i feel that what's missing is the restore purchases button.

For the IAPs, I have definitely seen it where I am prompted again to enter my password and for all intensive purposes, it acts like I am going to have to pay for the IAP again. Instead once you complete the process, it says "You've already got this so we can enable it" or something similar. That's at least what happened in some other games I bought. In any event, you can either wait until Monday and Cory could probably sort something out pretty quick, or try the IAP again. If you are charged for it, Cory will definitely agree to providing you with a refund. He's done that for Android apps many times, and I'm 94.18725% confident that he's got the ability to offer refunds for IOS purchases too.

We are really sorry that we were not here to help, but glad that the community was able to get you an answer and through the issue. Generally, one of the two Trese Brothers is on this forum every day and answers every thread. We took a two day break (to meet and work together in person, as we live on opposite coasts) that turned into four days ... and you arrived right in the middle of it! I apologize that you caught us in a major lapse of customer service. To get the iOS IAP on any device linked to that iTunes account requires you to "click through" again just as if you were purchasing it again. It is confusing and we are working on better implementations for the future, but you will not be charged and the IAP will be added to the new device. Sounds like you got there. Very sorry for the issue.
