This thread was accidentally edited by Andrew. Sorry, I dropped the answers in under (AT).
Answers below:
1. Does Parry help "deflect" thus reduce damage from ranged bow attack?
AT) no, parry does not currently help against ranged attacks. It does not reduce damage.
2. Weapons all have a Accuracy, and Parry rating. The training blade has +2 Accuracy, and Parry. For example. If you +1 blades to raise it from three to four. Is it adding one to the Accuracy, and Parry. Or is it increasing the percentage of times a blade will strike or parry?
AT) Melee skill adds both melee offensive power and melee defensive power.
3. Bowrats are hanging back more often. But still rush a party member, and fire bows at full force when adjacent to them. Can they be made to slam on the breaks leaving one space between them and their target?
AT) They are hanging back more in the next update.
4. Will Toughness be added to monster display in P3?
AT) At some point, that display will be updated. It probably won't be for the next update.
5. How do I know casting a curse has hit the monster? When using a firebolt you see the ball of flame impact, if no damage is displayed you know you missed. Unlike party members, Monsters don't have an "Effects" display. Many of them have resistance of 7, did I succeed in cursing them?
AT) If the animation plays, you cursed them. We will eventually get to adding an effect list for monsters, but it won't be in the next update.
6. When a shaman casts Vermin Rot, it appears to remain in effect after the battle is over. So far I've only been able to cure it at a camp site. I know at a much higher level the Cleric can use a dispel curse spell. During free movement it doesn't seem to go away, or am I just missing how long it lasts?
AT) working on fixing this one.
7. Dual wielding Ratkin warriors are carrying a sword, and dagger. Are they striking with both at the same time, with each weapon getting separate dice rolls to sum up the damage inflicted? It appears to me dual weapons do not cost them more AP to use?
AT) As of the next release, when you dual wield, you take the higher accuracy between the two blades, and the higher parry between the two blades, sum the effects, damage, and AP and get a single attack roll. Monsters are given leeway in this and a Ratkin's stats approximate dual wield, except all monsters always spend 1 AP to attack.
8. Approximately how many levels are required to raise the range of the farsight spell? This will be pretty important in another thread I'll be creating later.
AT) The next release will allow you to see all the levels of all talents when in the leveling UI. Very easy to "look ahead"
