Raistlin Karjtan the wizard sat by himself in the corner of the inn, watching the rest of his party with malevolent eyes. Once more, the spoils of victory had fallen unfairly, and once more, he found himself lacking where they gained handsomely. This was a feeling that Karjtan knew only too well. Hadn't HE been the one to obliterate the waves of foe that befell the group? Sure, that brute, Vraes, claimed kill rights because he had an oversized skewer of a sword, but Vraes missed as often as he hit, and it was always Karjtan they looked to for the ever-reliable firebolt. Even that priss of a thief, Tamilin was useless. She was the only other party member with any ability at range, and her arrows caused only minor inconvenience to those that stood against them.
By rights, Karjtan felt he should have had the most XP gain of the lot of them, with that wussy Cleric getting the least. But that wasn't the source of his disgruntlement tonight. No. Not tonight. 'Come celebrate with us on getting to level 6, Karjtan', the Outlander had said. Sure, when you, and all of the others went to level 6, you got points to distribute for Attributes, Skills, AND Talents. Karjtan spat to one side. He had only been given two points ... Attributes and Talents. Where was his point for Skills? Was he not worthy of improving as fast as his inferior party? Was this the way that the Gods had decided as the way to keep Karjtan controlled and subservient to a clearly brainless warrior?
No ... Karjtan decided that he would continue to bide his time for now ... patience was needed. Let the them celebrate. His eyes narrowed under the shadow of his cowl, and shifted as he continued to watch them.

slayernz - lol, Karjtan gets the skill point back next level, and then the others can glare. There are two XP tracks and different characters are on different tracks based on their starting skills, attributes, and talent points (they don't all start the same). As other characters are added to the game, it won't be a 3 vs. 1 scenario. Trust me that it all plays out in the end.
