When I am outside of the level up points allocation thing, I would rather not see all of the unlearned talents in my list. It is tidier if they were just not there and only become displayed once I learn them. Sure, when I am leveling up, I want to see all of the talents I can learn along with talents I can improve on, but I don't necessarily want to see the Level 12 spells that I am not yet ready to even contemplate, let alone understand Also, I was even thinking that when you press the talent button, the talents are shown in a grid rather than row by row. long-pressing the talent will open up details of what the talent is.

Sorry -- no grids.
We went back and forth on this internally.
The starting talent order still needs some work.
We might consider a button that "shows hidden" talents in the talent picker.
Having seen played the game for weeks with it in both modes myself, I know there are good and bad about both ways.

slayernz - I always simply arrange my list past the first three. I arrange everything I use in order of importance. Disabled stuff ends up at the bottom.

I've not really had an issue with the talent list, as has been mentioned I tend to set up everything I need in the top levels of the talent list and then have little/unused talents near the bottom.
The one thing that would be nice, if it were possible, would be to give an extra quick slot or two to the thief. Or, actually, if we could set up a custom number of boxes ranging (as an example) from 1-5 for our characters. That would be nice for some of the more skill intensive classes (wizard and thief, for me). However, I'm sure this would be a big pain in the butt.

johndramey - we have discussed looking at "as many as possible" based on the device size. How does that appeal to people? I honestly think its a bit too much, but I'd like to hear the thoughts.

The Thief is the one that I use the most talents of. I also have my most used talents at the top of the list and all the unlearned or unavailable talents are after that. It would be nice if the Thief had a couple more talent slots, 3 is not enough, but with only 3 slots you are moving and adjusting them. This can be considered as part of the game.
I liked the Green dots for the 3 talent markers, they are much easier to see than the current ( 1.0.7 ) Light Blue shading that is used.

MAYBE as you get to Level 6, you get 1 extra slot available to you as a quickslot. Alternatively you have a default Melee and default ranged talent that you can specify. Then if you hit an enemy without selecting a spell, you automatically do that action. That would free up the 3 slots hugely So For thief, the default ranged attack would be Aimed Shot, and default melee attack would be Torrent of Steel. The three quick slots would then be Farsight, Disarming Touch, and Precision Pick. As an aside, these are the talents I am always using The thief definitely uses a lot of variety Ranged = Aimed Shot Melee = Torrent of Steel Scouting = Farsight Disarming traps = Disarming Touch Picking Locks = Precision Pick The Cleric isn't too far behind Heal = Myshana's Tears Spirit = Sacrifice Melee = Smiting Blow Defense = Warder's Shield The Outlander is far more simple Melee Crushing Blow Melee with low spirit = Strike Defense = Stone Skin For sake of completionism Old shifty eyes Ranged = Firebolt Defense = Pureflame Shield
