Okay okay I know there is a new update, and it makes the UI, spell balance, and a whole bunch of things better, but I feel compelled to let my team finish their mission before I go and delete them. Yes, I know our job is to Alpha test this game to find the bugs, improve the balance, and ensure the gameplay works well, but damnit, it's just so frickin addictive that I can't stop. I have to either be victorious or die trying ... or try dying ... or do some tie dying! One thing to comment on is the Deathkin and Giant Rat imbalances. Deathkin seem to be able to dish out up to 80 points of damage, 4x per turn AND move multiple squares. The best return my team can do is the Wizard, doing up to 40-50 damage. Against the Deathkin, it ends up being in the 20's (same with attacking the Giant rat). I know it's meant to be a challenge, but really? It takes multiple turns to kill one of the Deathkin (and that's with the entire party focused on its destruction). Giant Rats take massive damage before they go down, and they often cause up to 50 points of damage x3 per turn themselves. Solution - either bring down the damage caused by these creatures to balance against a level 5/level 6 equivalent, or give us weapons that cause 50 - 80 damage to at least have an even chance

slayernz - we don't fault you for not upgraded. We knew some people would not want to. We are working on the monster balance back here, its one of our top items. Hopefully you'll see gradual improvement with every release (1.0.7 helps a lot already with the problems you are mentioning).

Hmm, odd. The Giant Rat I can kill on nightmare. Its the Deathkin that's unstoppable. He, or she, kicks my arse like a twister in a barn.
But imagine the GLORY of being able to kill a lvl 1 Deathkin with a lvl 1 team on Brutal or nightmare?
My god if there was a reward for that (like a god weapon) I'd still be on it. *Shakes fist at the white face weasel*
On that note, don't you guys think that HARD difficulty is ... well ... pretty easy? I don't even use my scout to scout. I move the entire group without much worry.

rabidbite - thanks for the feedback again. We will take another look at it ... we upped Normal to be tougher, so maybe Hard is too low. Tweak tweak tweak

Yeah I really hated to delete my last team and move to 1.0.7 I was doing great with them, the best I'd done yet... Glad I did update tho I got all the way thru the Void and into Granthorn, it's been really fun and exciting and I'm getting to know & use the team much better now. So even though you may not want to move up to the new version, you'll be glad you did and you'll feel rewarded for it too.

I've made the move after killing off the last Deathkin and his legion of minions. It felt good to clear the mines of the filth that had permeated every corner, every nook and cranny. Of course success meant the party's purpose was complete and without common purpose, they slowly drifted apart.
Vraes the Outlander decided to go into business as a tour guide, leading parties of tourists through the mines, re-enacting the heroic deeds that allowed the party, nay the WORLD survive.
Tamilin the Thief decided to move into honest trade and took over the running of the local inn. Of course, she carefully eliminated any competition that was within walking distance, meaning she could charge pretty much what she wanted. Appropriately the inn was renamed Daylight Robbery.
Kyera decided to move on, hunting for other willing people to help her cleanse the world of evil. She was last seen heading in the direction of the mystical city Las Vegas. Rumor has it that she might take an opportunity to host an evangelical TV show.
Karjtan was ignored as usual, and is currently plotting to eliminate each of his former friends one by one by one.
Me ... I'm on to 1.0.7 and already enjoying the changes

Me ... I'm on to 1.0.7 and already enjoying the changes There are a huge amount of small, quality of life improvements in the latest version of P2. I'm thinking maybe we should look at all the talents and their progressions and see how they stack up to each other. Especially things like the empowered melee attacks. Got a quick question. I'm currently playing through everything again on the new release and am working towards AoE disarming touch. Will it disarm everything in the little compass rose design you guys show? If so, amazing! It would be well worth the talent points to have the utility of clearing out huge chunks of floor at a single touch!

johndramey - yes it will ... except there is a bug that it does not clear the center square (dark red). That bug will get fixed asap!
