Woah I just noticed it cast Stone Skin on the outlander, and his HP maximum goes up, but not his HP. This means that if you are expecting to have 20+ exta HP given to you in time of crisis, you are sadly mistaken.
Testing: 1. Select Outlander. Check to make sure Stone Skin is not in effect. 2. Note the current HP and maximum HP (262/262) 3. Cast Stone Skin 2 (gives you +36HP) 4. Check current/maximum HP for Outlander (262/298).
Expected result Current/maximum HP should go up by the buff (in this case 298/298)

slayernz - it adds HP maximum but the talent does not heal. All HP bonus items work that way as well. If you equip a +10 HP Bracers, you gain +10 HP maximum only.

Oh I always thought it buffed the HP for x turns ... it's only temporary so you wouldn't necessarily benefit much after the buff wore off.

slayernz - it has always only raised HP maximum. Otherwise it would be a type of healing spell. 1. Select Outlander. Check to make sure Stone Skin is not in effect. 2. Note the current HP and maximum HP (200/262) 3. Cast Stone Skin 2 (gives you +36HP) 4. Check current/maximum HP for Outlander (236/298). That is not the intent of the buff. You need the Cleric, Paladin, or a HP potion to clear the difference.

Okay, but then the extra health top-up you got during the buff disappears after the buff wears off. It's okay though - I know what to expect now

In essence don't cast Stone Skin for the HP buff. I cast it for the armor and defense alone.

I usually get Vraes up to stone skin four or five. Then Kyera's Myshana's Tears up to about +136 Hp. Then let him buff, and immediately cast Myshana's tears on him before going into battle. Until the exploit gets fixed, he runs abound in free move without it wearing off. So if you only used 2 of the 8 rounds of Stone Skin. On the next enemy encounter he will still have 6 rounds left at full HP.
