Yea... I like Deathkin. Tamilin is testing their arrow catching prowess. Vraes I think has nightmares about them, Kyera complains about how many times Vraes gets disemboweled, and Vincent just studies them. Yep...love Deathkin, absolutely love them.

I ran through on normal and didn't get a deathkin until going after the super shaman, which I haven't beat or met yet, right before going down the stairs. Only had to repeat turn twice. Not cuz of the deathkin, but cuz of all the archers in that nice little ambush.

You've still got a big level to play through and then the big confrontation and another Weaslerine. Tease brothers really came through in episode one because at about 4 points I thought "this is it" only to find out that Shaman wasn't there. It would actually be cool to see that reflected in the character dialogue a little bit more, that sense of hunt and miss and keep going after him.

This guy went down pretty easy. He had -2AP thanks to flash freeze and ethereal anguish, not to mention what they took off of parry and dodge. I was hoping Tamilin would finish him with a critical hit but it was Kyera who snuck in and dealt the death blow.

7Level Deathkin on Normal was slightly harder then Ratkin Veteran. I've finished him on second turn.

Sounds like people are asking for a re-up on his stats?

Sounds like people are asking for a re-up on his stats? Hmm, not sure how it would play out. My Outlander is on Empowered level 4 and my Thief has so much Aim Shot, that sometimes she destroys the enemy 6 squares away without even letting 1 get close to the team. Mind you, I always remind people that I'm playing on Nightmare. I ... MIGHT ... be able to take a bugged Deathkin ... I doubt it ... I really do ... but who knows? I'm finding the fights pretty easy going at the moment. As long as my Outlander doesn't go down from a mob rush, I can win. My cleric is at healing rank 3, so 2 heals = max health on my Outlander. rabid

Sounds like people are asking for a re-up on his stats? I don't know, on brutal they're still pretty tough and terrifying. Above I was able to isolate him down to 1 vs 4 and everybody had 2 to 3 buffs/debuffs. If that's what it takes to bring somebody down in a 4-5 rounds then I'd say he's pretty tough.

Sounds like people are asking for a re-up on his stats? Maybe making deathkin stronger on Normal would save his reputation... but on the other hand if you want more challenge you should start the game on Hard+ Another thought: it would be nice to have the ability to escalate (permanently) difficulty level of the current game.

Hmm. I think the first part of your statement is the way to go. Want to fight a Deathkin in all its pumped up glory? Go to Brutal or Nightmare. Want to fight the Deathkin in its FORMER pumped up glory? I leave fallen to resolve how to do that. I'm not sure the difficulty escalator is needed as that's what the different levels are.

Setting Difficulty is something you do at the start of the game. We won't be enabling any mid-game difficulty changes.
