What is your most popular starting ship? And what ship type do you prefer as the years pass you by?

Starting: Serpent Tooth Preferred: Royal Class I still prefer Fast / Quick ships with big cargo and not that much people on board to be more water-fuel efficient. But I have Omega Cruiser and Battle Frigate at Dock, just to feel safe .

Starting: Picky Beggar Preferred: Alliastax Freighter Even that Alliastax is Fast/Medium it has such a nice cargo it is just insane, with some extra Engines you can make this ship pretty good in short ranges and 20% extra cargo bumps you to 172 total cargo which is very nice. I keep crew at low 50 which when combined with Advanced Bridge System give really nice fuel efficiency. BTW My first post

A spy needs electronics yet electronics increase the chance of encounters. Wouldnt a spy prefer to stay undetected?

Just started a new game on challenging as a spy for rychart, 3rd job was surviellence, on cadar, started with 0 rep ended up -108 in two years and still hadn't finished the job, stole a templar raider, which im loving by the way :-) but still. Is that normal for a job to last that long? I failed it because i run out of ships to keep up my water and crew happiness

Vae for starting with (just because it's too far to scroll down to bother picking a different ship) Then Javat Cutter cos it's relatively cheap, fuel efficient, and can hold its own OR the Honor of Javat, because it's relatively fast, fuel efficient and has a 28 gun salute OR the Honor of Thulun because ... damn it's a nice ship.
Long term though, I invariably hunt for a Royal class ship .. preferably "Royal Class", but I'd settle for "Royal Dark".
