In any case, I'd rename the vessel "Suck It Down" or "Come Get Some". ;D

What would be a good ship for a spy? Do i just look for low hull and armor?

Does the weapon cabnet and spy banks add to signiture of the ship?

Does the weapon cabnet and spy banks add to signiture of the ship? no they do not add. full of weapons you are saving a net of like 37.5 points of signature, which is a lot.

Ooooh! Wow!
I had no idea that they shielded their contents from adding to signature. I assumed they were just adding extra space that could only be used to store the appropriate type of resource. (weapons, electronics, records, water)
If they're shielding their storage from adding to signature that makes them a LOT more attractive as an upgrade. (in particular the weapon's locker)

*Waves at Slayer on his way to the launch-prep bay*
Can't talk long, there's an Indep ship we've just shot up the engines and decks on. They tried to run when we demanded they stop for cargo inspection. My spy tells me they fled from Cadar Prime with a hold full of alien "samples", and she had pics to prove it. One glance at those pics pretty much clinched it, even if my veteran officer hadn't survived an attack on-planet when those "samples" proved to be eggs I would have recognized it in a second.
Five to one odds say that any humans left on that ship are now infected and under control of some xeno-brain-bug. And I won't even give you odds on how many xenos could even now be swarming over that ship, they were supposed to be transporting colonists.....
*turning away from the com-console*
Get power into my leviathon, the rest of my Brothers are already prepped and the longer I delay the more risk we take of some damn Indep escaping that ship in a life-pod. I will NOT risk such a contamination of the planet below us, Xeen Prime may be infested by those machine-worshipping Steel Songers, but not even they deserve to be "bred" by these aliens.
*turning back*
Good hunting Slayer. My squad's prepped, my suit is powering up, and the rest of the boarding party are as ready as they're gonna get in the time we have left.
*A "jaunty wave" as he leaves the screen's view*
Make ready Brothers, we will cleanse that ship with fire and explosive shells! Pippin, get me my force sword. Silla, for humanity's sake get a gun for yourself, I know you hate things at "closer than H-K torpedo range", but if the alien attempts to board and makes it to the bridge I need you to stay alive.
Brother Caleb, blow the enemy hatch.
For Humanity, and Cadar!
CHARGE!
{Transmission from Brother Captain Absimiliard, aboard the "Lucky Bunny", ends}

As I'm pirate addicted (I can never seem to get used to Military Officer no matter how hard I try to be a good duty bound, starched government suit) Currently testing pirate on demanding. Pretty sure I am going to use pirate on impossible when I get there.: My favorite first ship: Tempus Fugit My current favorite ship: Ship Name Hull Armor Engine Solar Crew Cargo Torp Gun Agility Speed Raptor Class 15 7 30 30 50 70 15 26 FAST FAST Overall I think this Raptor is better than anything else I've seen. 50 crew is about what I want on a ship, period. I pumped the cargo to 91 and added Water Fuel tanks (25 fuel that don't affect cargo space). Most of the time I have INFINITE WATER FUEL on Green spaces, until I destroy a few ships and get heavy with cargo My CONSIDERATION SHIP: Just because of the cargo hold Ship Name Hull Armor Engine Solar Crew Cargo Torp Gun Agility Speed Royal Class 20 10 40 44 70 100 12 24 FAST FAST But to be honest that 70 crew thing just doesn't sit well for me. I am not sure if it's worth it. PS: Boy its hard to get these ship specs things lined up

A Royal is generally considered to be the best ship around. Your mileage may vary, of course, but group t think loves them.

Just because of the cargo hold The ship makers influenced by De Valtos scum started to use cheap Cadar reactors cores. After some accidents they figured out that radiation shielding is not that good, so they added some. Man, Royal Classes are not what they were... (It has 80 cargo now, but still great ship)

Only 80 now? Damn! I wish I could install tractor beams on my ship and lug all those alien hulk cargo onto a planet for caching...

I think in many ways that Templars are more like the Terran Space Marine than 40K but the Star Traders RPG universe definitly has some of the Dark Future mixed in with the Dune and World's Edge myths. I really do love those first 3 Dune books. Now if only someone would make some seriously good Mechanoid books.
