What are they exactly? Ive unlocked them but i seem to be getting the same ships ive seen before.

I never seem to find more that four types of Rank Ships for the factions I'm ranked with. Do I need to be higher rank?

unlocks, rank level, difficulty level and other factors change what is available in rank ships.
We are working to add even more ships here.

It always seemed to me that higher rank/rep should be tied to having better ships available from factions.

Here here! Restricting rank ships by rank is an excellent idea!
The Honor and Pride ships ought to also get you in more trouble if you cross that faction. That adds insult to injury.
