Ok, so I severely doubt that I will get this wish granted, but I totally want to wish for a ship like this...but it would totally kick ass! ;-)
Tenebrous Marauder Hull: 12 Armor: 4 Engines: 48 Sails: 24 Crew: 50 Cargo: 50 Guns: 32 Torps: 4
Buyable only at high level stardocks, possibly only during booming stardock rumors . Unlocked by completing the "Hit and Run" achievement on Insane difficulty.
Hit and Run Achievement Defeat 50+ AND escape from 50+ bounty hunters or pirates, who are higher level than you, in space combat, while you are a wanted criminal.
So, what do you think? :-D

Not bad - a ship designed for piracy in the extreme. You know if it is a custom Cadar ship, you'd have the guns and torps numbers reversed

post custom ships to this thread, i will add them to the hoper of seed designs. i use a mutator to create sets of ship designs and prices that are eventually selected down to the set used in game. I'm more than happy to take input

The hyper freighter is the only one with 180+ cargo that I am aware of. The pirate transport follows with 125 cargo.

I'll even try for some concept ships that aren't combat based! Stubborn Mule (for the trader that really just doesn't want to fight and doesn't care how slow he goes) Hull: 44 Armor: 20 Engines: 36 Sails: 44 Crew: 200 Cargo: 200 Guns: 0 Torps: 0 Space Swallow (this is a reference to some certain coconut-carrying swallows) Hull: 6 Armor: 2 Engines: 18 Sails: 18 Crew: 20 Cargo: 80 Guns: 0 Torps: 0 Hornet Class (small, fragile, but one heck of a sting!) Hull: 8 Armor: 4 Engines: 16 Sails: 48 Crew: 30 Cargo: 30 Guns: 4 Torps: 24 Fallen Dreadnought (hybrid of the concepts of the Fallen Cruiser and a Dreadnought) Hull: 44 Armor: 20 Engines: 45 Sails: 45 Crew: 125 Cargo: 125 Guns: 30 Torps: 30

I'm doing well with a Pride of Rychart with a water tank. 65 tons of artifacts isn't a bad drop. I'm up over 3 million spacebucks on Crazy with my Smuggler. He's level 40 and looking to make it to retirement without chapping any factions. So far, so good. It's amazing how profitable playing it totally safe is in this game.

How about: Fallen Angel
A powerful ship that very few captains have the pleasure of using.
Hull: 100 Armor: 50 Engines: 200 Sails: 200 Crew: 245 Cargo: 250 Guns: 100 Torps: 45 Speed: Very Fast Agility: Fast
Only available after getting the following award: Fallen angel
Achieve the lowest level of rep with a faction in less than five years after being a star hero with them. (Crazy)
After that it does not appear in shops, instead it is randomly found flying about the quadrant and must be captured.

Yeah, to get a fast speed and quick agility with 100 hull, you would need 200 engines and sails, lol!

Maybe an expansion for ship improvements would be a better option.
Once I get a chassis I like and put 6 improvements on it, the ship building part of the game is pretty much over. In the early game, building your ship is awesome. In the late game, you just fix solar sails.
Maybe my Mechanical Officer should be suggesting that it's time for a new ship because this one is just too beat up to fly. Either that, or there should be somewhat expensive total overhauls available at better stardocks.
