Ok, as far as I know I am part of the Cadar syndicate, I am highly honored there and pretty much hated everywhere else. I consider Cadar prime home because that's where I started. Anyway I'm there now and there is a trade ban.
Who is issuing this ban? Why does it include me? I'm aligned with Cadar so it's not like my people are at war with themselves. I don't know why I am banned from trading here. Will it be lifted? Can I do anything to lift it?

Click on status, cargo, conflict to see what is going on. Will go away after a while.

Hi Calinks,
Trade Bans are planet-wide disruptions to the trading Exchange. There is usually some reason why the exchange has been shut down, but it doesn't have anything to do with you personally.
If you look straight after the planet Urban description (Urban Screen), you will normally see some message to say why the ban exists.
Don't worry though - it's localized to the planet in question, and can lift after a few months or so. Best bet would be to fly to the next Cadar planet and do your business there. Alternatively you can always dock at an Independent planet and do your trade there (albeit at crappier prices).
The third alternative is that you start being nice to at least one other faction (De Valtos and Rychart planets are often physically close to Cadar planets, and it's nice having an alternate port of call from time to time.

Alternately, cache your goods on a wild zone with high security if you're not hurting for cash and/or fuel.
When times are good, you should be caching fuel and rations for lean times. You will reach a point where all six factions are locked in a daisy chain of embargoes. You're either going to pay Independent prices for fuel (no biggie, but it sucks when you can only buy 6 tones on a backwater rock) or have to hit your own stocks.
