Where does Prologue start and Episode 1 begin?

Hi, all,

i purchased Episode 1 before starting the game (as opposed to waiting to be prompted to do so), and now i am not sure whether i have just finished Episode 1 or the Prologue.

i've just beat the "Great Shaman" and can find nothing more to do, so i assume that's the end of Episode 1? i didn't see any sort of "transition" between Prologue and Episode 1, which makes me think that was just the Prologue, but the whole thing seemed kinda long for just a Prologue.

You've got to the end of Episode 1 if you beat the Great Shaman. The prologue ends once the party reaches Oskahold. There is no big DUN DUN DUN to mark the transition, just filters through seamlessly just like I'm sure Episode 2 will start with Strom requiring an escort, and the party moving on with her.

The wall between the Prologue and Episode 1 has moved a few times in A/B testing.

The current end point for Episode 1 is after the Great Shaman fight. There will be clearer breaks (at least equivalent to the intro animation with text) between Episodes when we have gotten the story that far along.

Thank you both. i rather like the idea of Episode II starting out as the quest to escort the Merchant Lady (i'm horrible with names - i just remember the roles, and in games which allow me to rename PCs i name them after their roles!). Alas, it doesn't sound (based on Fallen's comment) like that will be the case. Maybe it starts with the Evil Baron attacking The First City (again with the names/roles)?

fallen, I was admittedly taking the easy obvious guess as it seemed like the main unfinished quest for the area. Curious to see what you do roll it out with!
