Well I always say, if you're going to do something -- do it well. You certainly hit that mark. Too bad the game can't be extended to include harder difficulty levels =)

Eh, I am creating my own extended difficulty by starting different characters that will use different methods and strategies that may not be as effective or be more challenging than previous ones. Best way to re-play games. ;-)

I ran him in the simulator. The maximum Stealth/Pilot layout is brutally effective. Watch out for late game Aliens, they're the only thing kills him consistently

I am looking at my Captain generator and wondering if I should replace it for higher difficulties with a builder that tends to make more optimized Captains

So far, the only non-alien captains that give this guy any trouble were the level 75+bounty hunters and pirates that were in the top-end fast/quick ships. Those usually just get annoying with that combat stalemate issue that I posted about, but on a couple occasions they have managed to get off a decently damaging ram on him.

From a game balancing perspective, would you consider swapping stealth and tactics for avoiding attacks? It would reduce the degree to which you could easily focus a character in this way, by making you buy up more than one base stat this far. Of course, I don't know enough of the other game mechanics to have any idea of how this change would break the game in other ways, lol.

There is a new chapter for James Bond, and a new claim to glory! I decided to try boarding actions with James. so I started putting more points into Strength and Warrior, and bought a new Spear Class.

I was taking the new Spear Class around from planet to planet, looking for the upgrades I wanted. I only had +30% Crew from the Military Retrofit and +2 armor from Reinforced Bulkheads so far, when some foolish Narvidians thought they were big and bad enough to take on the Legendary 007.

Long story short, after 58 rounds of space combat, they had no engines on their level 57 Narvidian Hive, and James Bond's ship remained completely untouched.

Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee...

And not too shabby for a Spy who is still only level 50. The salvage for scrapping the ship and killing all 1,000 Narvidians onboard was very nice at $254,680!

So Cory, are there any aliens bigger than the Narvidian Hive? :-D
