You might realize from some of my posts that II'm a bit of a history buff as well as a fan of special operations stuff. I found this entry about Deuterium being generated as a byproduct of fertilizer production and seized when the Germans invaded Norway during WW2. Everyone from Norwegian resistance fighters and commandos to British SAS were tasked with the destruction of ths supply- used in the production of nuclear weapons and as a fuel in nuclear fusion (hence water-fuel) and is one of the reasons the axis' nuclear weapons program was a failure. Pretty neat story if you're into that sort of thing. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norwegian_heavy_water_sabotage
