I was enjoying the game; then I died in battle and chose the "Restore" option, not knowing what that would do. I got teleported back to a camp point an incredibly vast distance away from the battle I was fighting, and there's no way to get out of combat mode.
I really don't relish the prospect of moving my characters 7 AP at a time across most of the map, so I came here to see if there was any way of avoiding doing so. I see that several other people have raised this as a problem, but it is unclear to me if this is something that is still being worked on. (I.e., there should be a way to manually end combat mode if you're far enough away from a group of enemies.)
Is it? It seems like this should be a priority, as it is close to being gamebreaking.

nemloen - having just released v1.1.25 to Google Play, we have now switched over to work on this feature. It is top of the priority list and will hopefully be resolved by the next round of updates. However, I want to be up-front that the planned resolution to the issue will not assist games that are already in combat at a long distance (i.e. experienced the issue before the update).

Awesome - this was something critical to the PC release too so I'm glad you're on to it.

Even if it just restores the original combat trigger and any enemies you may have killed it would still be better than those long walks turn-by-turn.

contributor - it will fix the issue for future Death > Restores.

Glad to hear it. And thanks for the quick response. To clarify, just so that I can plan my strategy here -- when the resolution is in place, I understand that it won't help my current situation, which is fine -- I'll take the long walk. But once the patch is installed, will it prevent it from happening again with that same party, or would I need to start a new party for it to work in the future?

nemloen - it will prevent it from happening again, any party. Awesome, thanks! For the record, I moved my party back to the fight and am now like 3 hours past that point. Great story -- I'm hooked for this and future episodes.

Great story -- I'm hooked for this and future episodes. I have done that a dozen times -- it turned out to be way more obnoxious than I expected. The new Restore code is done and I'm testing it. Going to take some days of work (lots and lots of dying) but I believe the result will be a rock solid solution for this class of problems.
