I haven't seen any heals crit yet. Is it possible for this to be implemented?

Nope, not something the game does today. Criticals are *only* for damage rolls.
There hasn't been any math or balancing work to support Heal Criticals, so I suspect we have to skip them.

Cost of healing is not overly high, and for up to the end of Episode 1, you only need level 2 or max level 3 to heal your team effectively, even during heavy combat. It DOES depend on how you position your party though as if you don't use your Outlander as a tank, you're going to be healing a lot.

I agree, putting Vraes like a wall against enemies (or quickly...making him a tank), your healer focuses on Healing few times (just to keep alive Vraes for another turn, in heavy combat), and this thing allows (or allowes? My sucking english) a major use of clerical buffs (vital in advanced difficulties)  about this, ahahahha wow i love you, the battles in Hard often are a hard thinking and also a satisfying feeling when I won them xD lot of enemies...i sometime forget my need of respawn wishes(sorry me  ) xD |

Episode 2 enemies will challenge you again. Purifying Breeze is the other option for the Cleric, with 5 talent levels and potions, you can use other options.
The Paladin will change things again once you are playing with her =)

Is the paladin the next extra character and does he/she replace Vraes?

The paladin will replace Kyera as she will be a healer but more of a fighter/healer than Kyera. More fighting abilities and less healing ones so you'll have to re-think your strategies. That would give a whole new experience IMO.

Wow perfect for my strategy, i use kyera just for M'Tears and ethereal Anguish the paladin will rock!! And she also has a name of a pornstar ahhahahahahahhaha |
