I backed the kickstarter and got into the alpha but due to stuff, I didnt participate in it.
I only noticed a few days ago that the game was out and downloaded it. Very pleased with the graphical polish, definite improvement! Lacks the usual options though, for now.
Anyway, I'm a bit confused with the transaction system, since it's different from the usual. So..is there anything different for backers or what?

vindroid - we posted a pretty great guide to the status of the KickStarter rewards on our KS update page: /posts/691975 As stated throughout the project, from day one, we are not able to give the game away for free to backers due to restrictions by the markets themselves. However, we have extended a promise to give every backer a free, full version of the game for PC, as we will have more control over that distribution, as mentioned here. Also, we are on Steam Greenlight, so Yes vote us! /posts/707910 Steam link: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=210285625

I just wasnt sure if there's an elite version containing the whole package (when it's done) or something. I'll vote for the greenlight.

vindroid - sometime in the next month, we will release Heroes of Steel Elite. It will cost $4 and grant you access to all 4 story episodes as they are released. It gives you easy access to a 1-time-purchase paid app and no need of IAPs if you don't like them. It is the same cost as purchasing all 4 Episodes in the existing game as they come out. Hope that helps! Also, this blog post might explain: tresebrothers.blogspot.com/2013/12/heroes-of-steel-episodic-releases.html

I like bundles, so I'm gonna wait for that.
Meanwhile I'm gonna check out cyber knight's and star trader's updates. Plenty of stuff I bet.

You can either pay $1 x 4 for each of the four episodes (totaling $4), or you can pay $4 for a bundle when all 4 episodes are done ... IE ... there is no additional cost for buying each episode when it comes out.
This means you can either enjoy all the juicy goodness that the first few episodes offer, or you can wait. Me ... the game is so amazingly good and fun and cool that I would hate to wait. If the bundle was out now, I'd buy it straight away so that I don't even have to buy the new episodes later, but long babble short - buy now and enjoy. Don't wait.
