I'm sure TB has their own plan, but what do you want? For myself, I'd like to see all the characters first so I can test run different groups to see which combos I want to take on the long haul to the end of the story.

Hmmm, very tough call. I went for alternate because I really couldn't decide. Definitely looking forward to plowing some new ground with episode 1 act 2. At the same time I see the value of having a good plan for a team to take all the way to the finish. I won't be touching the first group that I played through with, because I've come up with some much more fun builds.

I'm thinking of running the original cast of characters clear through and, at some point, starting a second party with mostly/all new characters. This would maximizes the the difference between the two play throughs. I'd be real curious to see how the dialogue changes... I assume story line stays pretty much the same.

tenbsmith - the story, but only really once you move out of Episode 1 . There will also be character-only branches that are locked to Kjartan or Vincent, etc. Cool pool, interesting to hear everyone's opinion!

After using Vincent I'm real interested in seeing the other characters but I also want to see more of the story and explore more places. I thought I would be switching back to my first group and continue of from there but I like Vincent so much and enjoy the way that group is progressing that I'll keep going with this group, finishing off Act 1 then go on to Act 2.

I had to go with "Other" on this one. More content longer play? More Characters more combinations less content? Feels like King Solomon spitting the child in half for two bereft mothers. I find myself starting new games before even finishing another just to see what happens. There are real mathematicians out there so jump in. 5 Characters x 2 Acts = 10. Each character has 9 main talents for 10 ranks = 90. If I'm right that's 450 different ways to play the game with existing characters. I haven't even considered the math behind adding in the effects on game play when you add the skills and attributes into the mix. Bet my math is pretty thin soup but I'm thinking the possible combinations are higher. Cory and Andrew are coming out with stuff so fast I don't know what to expect when I wake up in the morning. A final note; I'm a little selfish once the Rogue is in my hands I'll be fat and happy.

Personally, I'd want more characters or at least to know more about future characters (skills/abilities) to begin preparing parties and how much attention I want to pay to current playthroughs. But I know I'm in the minority here.

I say Solomon never had such an easy choice - get more levels and more story out first! fallen - as a dev on this project, which would you find easier to do? Would there be much retrofitting involved either way?

robertmarkbram - as a dev on the project, we didn't make the poll, and have a clearly defined plan on how to release characters and Episodes in an alternating pattern. Not sure about the retrofitting part. EDIT: I get it now - retrofitting new content / dialogs for characters A lot of it we wrote the first time through those sections, thinking about the different characters at the original time of authoring. The exciting part is the forward-facing stuff - new, character specific content.
