Greetings, i think i found a bug. I have the water fuel tank added to my ship, upon exploring a planet i went to make room for some of my loot, my std proc is to remove water fuel add on the valuables then top off my hold with water. Currently my hold is only at 45, which is why i got the water fuel pod. I had 38 water but after taking it off i filled my hold to 45 and it would not let me refill the 25 in water fuel. And after exiting explore i had no water. So what gives? Either the 25 in the special hold should not be able to be removed or you should be able to put stuff back in it on a surface encounter.

Heyya ... the WF tank requires at least 1 space in the main storage tank in order to access for loading purposes. This is because of the way that it is connected to the ship infrastructure. Of course, it's connected directly to the ship reactor, so even if the cargo bay is full of goods, your WF tank can still be drained dry by flying across the galaxy and back.
So this means that if you have a hold of 45 and a 25 WF tank, then you can technically carry a maximum 70 units of WF. BUT, if you have say 10 units of WF and 45 units of clothing, then your access to the WF tank is obstructed and you can't top up the remaining 15 units of WF.
For your hidden wilderness caches, it's just a matter of taking 1 unit out of your standard hold, filling your WF tank up, then restoring that one item that you took out.
For exchanges, you need to sell a unit and then buy it back, so there is a small cost if you haven't planned ahead.
Best practice is to always fill your WF tank before you start loading stuff up.
Hope this helps
