grävling - in total agreement - its critical to have them in your back pocket, but not so good to use them all the time. Sorry Fallen. Slightly off topic for a moment. (Sorry Gravling. Not meaning to speak as if you're not here). How did you create Gravling's tag? If I try, I can't create the extra vowel; so I can't tag, which means Gravling won't receive a TAG notification.

You can tag grävling by using reply instead of quick reply.

I think I must be doing something wrong then, because ocasionally I use @, and it does not create a blue Tag name, just prints @ and the name in black. :/ Oh well. I'll work it out, (eventually).

I typed @cig and grävling (no Ä) and fallen. Wonder if this works. I've been only getting the black as well. Maybe cig and I have different forum settings? edit: hmm. seems to be working for me now. You try cig. at-sign-no-space-name, with at-sign-no-space-gravling for me.

As long as there's an @, it seems to be working now; no matter what the typecase. I must have been putting a space in between @ and Name by accident. Sorry peeps. Way off topic.

Back to the point of Taxi's, I have a totally different approach. I use them like there is no tomorrow. I chain em together. Once I have 3 or so drivers, I use em to avoid heat in high end locations while still making the big cash. I grab a bunch of courier jobs, and then just boom, taxi taxi taxi taxi. I hop between my cab drivers. If I get into an encounter or two, as long as I have enough AP to run, I get away fine, and then there is always another taxi driver waiting to pick me up. It lets me purchase much needed gear quickly, as I'm getting a lot of jobs done, often with much larger payouts.

Because when I tried this -- and data courier is another strategy, not the assasin one I outlined before, and it is pretty cool -- I always ended in so much heat that McFly would not take me in pretty short order. I think you may know something I would like to learn. Are you getting your missions from one particular faction, or all over?

HEY! I'm back. I have been trying to get into college (still no word yet) and Treseing had unfortunately fallen to the wayside. If you still care at all Grav, I do get heat, but I usually use McFly to take me INTO the zone from a place that likes me,do my mission, then slide out to the nearest sector on the map that doesn't absolutely hate my guts. After a hot mission, I may need to sleep once or twice, but I manage. And then I taxi out. Now, when doing this I always avoid running to a zone I don't want to mess with. Even if Lonestar likes me, it is much safer to run through Streets Turf. If I'm in Aztek, I'll move to Yakuza, or wherever, but I never move from a gang zone, say, up through a Corporate zone unless I know I'm strong enough to handle (or at least successfully run from) an encounter in that zone. And I do this on the highest difficulty.

Another neat Aztek trick is to go north and then walk around in Blue Ox territory, just south of the wall. If you get an encounter, it will be Blue Ox, not Aztek. Grävling
