Elemental damage rolls against Elemental (Fire, Earth, etc) resistance and the "Resistance" statistic.

No armor involved? I can see a difference when Selen goes and tags 2 of 3 targets with -armor for Vincent before he blasts. The target without the debuff takes less damage at about the level of the -armor. 1.2.7

Do armor and or toughness apply? Not for Elemental Damage, no.

The target without the debuff takes less damage at about the level of the -armor. 1.2.7 If you're talking about Firebolt, that is correct. Missile spells can mix Damage and Elemental Damage as seen fit by Andrew ( fallen) the man with the math and the graphs.

Actually, lightning but that makes sense. From the effect it has lots of physical and not much elemental at lower talent levels.

In the equation that balances each level of each talent, the "cost" of a point of normal damage and a point of elemental damage is different. Most of the Talents spend the first level's "points" on Damage and then pack on larger and larger amounts of Elemental Damage as they level up.
