Hi guys,
First things first - great game, the first Android game I gladly spent money on. Quite a content for only a dollar. I guess you already "got paid" with the Kickstarter, but many others would charge more than a dollar nevertheless.
And now about what I miss the most in the game. Simply put there's no way to grind. You have the battles during the story on the scripted spots and that's it, after you finish the story you either have to replay it (starting back with characters level 1) or to stop and wait for additional content.
I personally would rather to continue combating with my veteran characters and pitch them against more and more battles, gaining experience and levels and so on. This could be remedied if you added something like an "arena" in the game. A series of random progressively more difficult battles, all in the same pre-defined dungeon (the titular arena). The characters gain experience and gold from the kills as usual, and every 5 or 10 consecutive victories might grant them an item as a reward. No rest between the battles, of course, and if the party is defeated in the arena they have a choice to quit the arena or to start the same battle again. And they can enter the arena as many times as they wish (or not participate in the arena at all, it should be optional).
I don't think this is hard to design and develop (but I am not a game designer or developer), and I do think it will add quite some hours gameplay to Steel. It doesn't have to be an arena, of course, but a grind of some kind, advancing further with levels and items the characters that reached the end of the content is something that I'll be happy to see.
That's all I have for now and again congratulations for a good game.
