Pirates, like Ninja (and pre-over saturation, zombies before them) have always been a sure-fire hit with loads of people. I can't understand why AoP Elite only shows as '5,000+' downloads in the marketplace, I thought people would've been all over this one.
Compared to, say, CK or ST it's pretty easy to work out without the manual too. I definitely think it needs more love from the general populace.

I think what killed it was the 2-3 month hiatus AoP had on updates while HoS was in development. I saw a few comments stating the game was abandoned and its hard to get friends into it once a comment like that appears.
