This is making the Crew nervous. They want to "appease the Krakens" by dumping 20 pounds of gold over board.

I think you can appease the krakens just as well by dumping 20 crewmen overboard. And they're easier to replace.

Agreed. Especially if you picked them up from a port in the federation of kaihmer .
