So, when HoS was first released, or maybe just before release there was talk of creating a 3rd optional character for each slot. It seems to have been ditched somewhere along the line since the Kickstarter did not hit that goal. I'd like to here a little comment from Cory Trese or fallen on the decision to first include them and then not include them. Is there any chance that they might eventually be added at some stage way down the road? They seem like they could potentially be a big revenue stream. A few things I would love to see would be: 1) a magic user that can heal. This would allow for much more creativity with the Cleric/Paladin character. 2) Reverse the genders for each slot, creating the possibility for an all guy/girl team. 3) A bard! this was on the list at one point. As someone who played The Bard's Tale back in the day, this would be awesome!

contributor - at this point, I've shut off the part of my brain that dreams about them. We didn't hit them in the KickStarter, which means they are out of scope for the foreseeable future - that's the whole point of making them a stretch goal of Kickstarter, so we are going to stick to that. Asking the dead section of my brain gets the quiet whisper of "Vrotta Mercenary, Druid, Monk, Assassin ..." We wouldn't switch gender rolls in the different positions, but the healing idea is interesting. At the moment, when Heroes 4 Episodes & 4 Characters are done we are looking to Star Traders 2!

Yes, but surely, if they are bringing in cold hard cash...?

contributor - game development is difficult, because you always want to build the biggest and best game. Dreams go wild and it snowballs into something too large. It's very good to set goals and stick to them. Also very difficult

Yes, but surely, if they are bringing in cold hard cash...? With a substantial up front investment, they would generate revenue. We raised as much as we could on KickStarter and found the rest of the capital personally. I know what some people would like to see -- magical money and all the stretch goals delivered, even the ones without funding ... but sadly my savings account is empty

Ok, you guys know what people are buying. It just seems like adding characters to an existing game is less investment for more reward than starting a whole new game and in the end if it makes more money it doesn't matter what you put into it. But you know the numbers and can probably formulate a guess as to what the return on such an investment would be better than anyone else. Either way I'm happy, ST 2 will be awesome and by the time it comes out I may not be interested in any more HoS characters. Except for that Bard...
