This is my new favorite build.
2H 3AP hammer + Ferocity ... total destruction.
Who else is loving this build?

Missing the important bits...other characters & builds for all of them. If this was a bug report, I'd expect you to chastise me...
For my parties, not so hot. Sword Vraes is the only one that stands out as a true damage dealer the rest are focused more on tanking & grinding out reliable damage on debuffed opponents.

I'm curious. I like the idea, but Ferocity is such a spirit sucker on Vraes. I've opted for uping Crushing Blow which gets pretty impressive damage output without the drain. Are you putting points into Intelligence? Using Kiki to chanel him Spirit?

The build basically demands Sacrifice power.

I spent only 1 or 2 points on Intelligence.
I have a lot of +SP gear on Vraes and +200 SP for Keyra.
She uses Sacrifice once or twice a turn to power Ferocity.
I'm using a 3AP or 4AP 2H hammer, so that means I only swing once a turn.
If Ferocity kills outright, I use it a second time.
If it doesn't kill, then I swing with Savage Sweep 3.
Vraes the Outlander Level 17
HP: 702 MP: 306 ----- Ferocity 3 Savage 3 Stone Skin 4 Natural 1 Bust of Speed 2 ----- 11 CON 9 STR 4 INT ----- 16 (18) Hammers

Did you really mean +200 SP for Kyera. If so you're getting gear that I don't have access to that might make such a build more difficult. Also I haven't seen a 4 AP hammer yet, but maybe I just haven't been looking.

Also I haven't seen a 4 AP hammer yet, but maybe I just haven't been looking. I'm level 17, I started Episode 2 at level 15 and have completed the first major dungeon zone -- so yeah, I have lots of Episode 2 gear, the place is full of treasure. She has several items adding more than 60SP. Things that add SP: Staff, Armor, Cloak, Ring, Bracers, Amulet ... so all of her gear However, I played all of Episode 1 as a very normal Savage Sweep 3AP hammer Outlander and a EA / Tears / Breeze cleric. You're going to find that Episode 2 requires some new levels of killing efficiency -- Ferocity and deep coordination between the team is one way to do it. A really fast, high damage sword and Savage Sweep works very well in Episode 2. I also have taken a 2H spear using Crushing Blow and Juggernauts to level 24. They all work -- I just really got my Ferocity build working smoothly and that's why I posted.

I'm not doing the ferocity build yet, but I do have a pretty manly Vraes with a 2H spear and level 5 crushing blow. He's landed a few 200+ hits and one 308 hit on an Arhaive Heavy Elite. Those have all been criticals though. But he can do over 100 non-critical. Pretty fun to see that level of damage and I haven't even gotten to Ep 2 yet. I find Burst of Speed to be a big help, because by level 4 it gives him +2 AP which means he has 3 moves and still gets 2 hits. It also helps him with damage avoidance as it ups his dodge in lieu of a shield.

contributor - I would agree that getting Move Points - one way or another - is critical to using a 3 AP weapon. It helps you always get those 2 attacks.

My Vraes builds were getting stale (though efficient), so I'm trying this now. So far (lvl 7), I'm not getting the benefit of it yet. Vraes has level 1 Ferocity and level 2 Savage. I'm using the big 2H hammer that can be bought in Oska. I'm going through spirit like crazy and half the time Savage does more damage than Ferocity. Getting something with a higher min damage or boosting Ferocity will help, but this build is definitely a slower burn. I will say though that the occasions I do land an 80+ hit are pretty fun. At level 6-7 that will crush just about anything. Still looking forward to how it will turn out.

Cory Trese, were you doing this on Nightmare? My party is up through the Shaman now, but it hasn't been working out super well yet. I'm at Ferocity 2 now, but I'm still having a hard time getting those killing blows in especially against the tougher monsters that I really need to destroy. Ferocity is hitting around 2/3 of the time, but when I only hit twice a turn a miss is a big deal especially when it eats 22 SP, so I end up using Savage twice because I know it will hit and two of those will bring down most normal enemies. I also can't say how frustrating it is to do Ferocity follow by Savage and get more damage out of Savage. With 28 min damage I have a pretty crazy range and I've hit for 17 damage with Ferocity before and it just feels like a total waste. I have gotten a few outright kills which is pretty fun, but overall this team is not nearly as efficient as others. I'm also doing this with Vincent and the loss of Choking Ash is huge. It might be best to try this only with Kj. Who knows though an awesome new hammer with high min. damage might make it all work out. We'll see how it goes, but this group might end up camping out in the Conquered Keep for a long time if it doesn't shape up.

I am on a setting just a bit harder than Nightmare right now. Deep into Episode 2, I wish I had my Savage sweep points back. I absolutely depend on anti-armor curses from Selen and Kj. The goal here is drop dodge, and armor and hit with Ferocity with crits. I'm still using Ferocity 3. Adding Berserk now, getting the crits from that and Burning. Kj doesn't fireball, he's an ash and buff wizard. Vraes turns in 180 / hit twice a turn, Critical to over 500 -- few stand for more than a turn with him. Selen has +3 move and she's a razor, finishing anyone who isn't dead, 1AP dagger kill bot

You can also build him really well with Spears -- the tight damage band and high accuracy make it a great match for Ferocity and I love the improvements Andrew made to the animation.
Savage Sweep is hard to replace, but there are other options =)

Cory TreseDid your Selen build have 16 in blades? Seems like a good hint from your Vraes builds. With her it would be a big decision sacrificing Lore points to empower Shadow Dance.
