That screenshot is a pretty extreme example of the advantages of running up to a fight to maximize the effectiveness of AoE attacks and curses rather than falling back and letting them come to you one at a time.
It also contains a bug. When the spider was spawning the little Summoned Pests there was no where for it to place the new spider so it ended up placing it on top of another one. I could only attack the top spider but not the bottom one, even though it could attack me. Later a cultist even ran up and stood on top of the bottom spider. Eventually the bottom spider moved and then I could attack in its new position. It's a small bug, but it could potentially be bad. What if it would have spawned on top of one of those Host Initiate's who has massively painful ranged attack. He wouldn't have moved and I wouldn't have been able to do any damage to him.

contributor - thanks for pointing that out, I was wondering from the screenshot what was going on there. I am still working on getting the spiders to center better on their square (harder than you'd imagine) so I thought maybe they ... anyway, #HOS-2366

Does everyone get double Berzerks at this point in Vast Cavern or did I get a special roll? Now if I could just figure out why they were breathing so hard before we even started fighting.

Fortunately I had the "super-nerf" team and between the two of them they still only had 2AP.

I love cursing enemies surrounding Vraes- sure, there are four or five enemies striking him, but between the AP drain and his Stone Skin I only have to heal at most every other turn- and that's if the original full five enemies are still standing. Typically they don't.

This should be resolved as of 2.1.25. Please let us know if you see it again!

err, what's fixed? Reducing Berzerks to 1 AP is perfectly legal is it not?

contributor - Wow ... are you using one of the scrolls to get that much damage!? Holy crap!?

I'm using two scrolls for the ice damage and one for the lightening. The fire comes from Burning Blades and gear. Physical comes from bow and gear. And with 6 incantations of sustainment she can go all day.
I have yet to make it through Vurnak on Nightmare without dying. This could be the time.

Ha ha! did it. Selen, was a monster! And the invocations ran out 2 turns before Vurnak died. Which means I did the whole thing in 45 turns. Not bad by my accounting. Selen still killed him with two crits in row. Epic defeat.
